Meet Julia Falci
Marketing Strategist & Business Coach in Vancouver
Let me tell you a story...
I have this memory, as a child, I was telling my friends how I found out that there were evil people out there who's jobs were to use psychology to trick us and make us buy things. More specifically, I learnt that McDonald's used red and yellow because yellow caused hunger and red made us want to leave the place quickly. Whether that's true or not, the concept was right: companies did have people working on tactics to make people buy more of their products. And I was outraged. I didn't know then who those people were, but now I do: they are called marketers.
So how did I end up being one of them? Many of you don't know, but I actually went to Uni for Graphic Design, and not Marketing. I love arts, design, architecture... When I moved from Brazil to Canada in 2008 I saw an opportunity to change careers and start over, and I embraced it. After much thought and many self-assessment tests, I realized I had a taste for helping businesses grow. I think I already had a "marketing mindset", and I often caught myself thinking about what businesses around me were doing wrong and what they could improve to be more successful. And there I went.
It's been a decade now since the moment I decided to embark in the marketing world, and after having worked with dozens of companies and brands, I still feel most energized when I help small businesses grow and cause a positive impact on people's lives. It's not about tricking people to buy more. It's about helping people to build their dream businesses, to support their families, to empower them. And this is so gratifying 🙏💙I hope I can support you in your journey too!

In late 2019, I received an invitation from Juliana Serafim to join her new book project as a co-author. At that time, the idea of writing a book sounded very surreal, but I said YES. Now, this is what has happened:
The book had an online soft launch in December 2021, and it got into the publisher's best-selling list within a week! In January 2022, I received the news that the book has reached the best-selling list of the leading magazine publication in Brazil and one of the most influential outlets of the Brazilian print media, VEJA.
Veja publishes articles on politics, economics, culture, world events, and entertainment and had an average circulation of 500M copies over 2019 - 2020, between their print and digital editions.
Our book now sits on their Top 20 best-selling books (category self-help) alongside some iconic titles, such as Daring Greatly by Brene Brown, The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*** by Mark Manson, and Atomic Habits by James Clear.
The book is available in Portuguese only and you can get a copy here.
